Dolly wheels are designed to be used for use in ground support equipment (GSE) at the airport. Most often, the Parker Aerospace dolly wheels were used by helicopter manufacturers for use in supporting the helicopter skids for ease of movement. Dolly wheels are similar in design to an aircraft nose wheel, but do not require FAA TSO approval unless they are also being used in other applications.

Wheels are made from either aluminum castings or magnesium castings. The wheel is of the divided type, incorporating inner wheel half and outer wheel half, which are fastened together with tie bolts, washers, and nuts. The wheel rotates on two tapered roller bearings which seat in bearing cups, shrink fitted into the hubs. Molded grease seals provide protection and lubricant retention for the bearings.
